Several Saints Shine in Summer Leagues
Multiple Saints named to All-Star teams and more at the conclusion of the summer league season

Sophomore pitcher Brady Wright was named All-Florida League first team for his summer performance with the Samford River Rats.
The right-handed pitcher will be entering his second year with the Saints this fall and will be a key part of the Saints rotation in 2026. The 6'3" righty from Palm Harbor, FL made 13 appearances for the Saints while throwing 17.1 innings. Primarily used as a reliever, Wright struck out 16 batters for an 8.31 K/9 ratio and posted a 1-0 record in 2025.
In the Florida League, Wright was one of the toughest arms, taking home the ERA Champion title with a 1.00 ERA in 18 innings of work on the mound. Wright allowed 10 hits and stuck out 24 batters, leaving his opposition to hit just .161 against him.
Wright started his Florida League summer with 17 consecutive scoreless innings, a streak that lasted from May 30th-June 24th, and was named to the All-Star Team.

Wyatt Campbell, a Saint from 2022-2024, was named the Valley Baseball League South Division Player of the Year. Campbell hit .268 with 31 runs scored and totaled 34 hits. Campbell led the Valley League with 11 doubles and was ranked second in the South in RBI's and runs scored, his .268 batting average was third best in his division.
Three more Saints had high production summers:
Ryan Chase hit .403 with 5 doubles, 1 triple and 3 home runs in the Florida Gulf Coast League. After the FGCL season came to a close, Chase joined the Valley League where he hit .333 with 3 doubles and 2 HR in 7 games.
Nick Staszak threw 19 innings in the Valley League while only allowing 10 hits, 7 BB and striking out 26 on his way to a 0.00 ERA and 2-1 record in Valley League. Staszak was named a Valley League All-Star this summer and will be headed to Mercer University next year.
Trey Freeman hit .356 with 7 doubles, 3 triples, 2 HR and stole 15 bases in the South Florida Collegiate League. Freeman was named an All-Star and will be headed south to play at Florida International University next year.
