SF Gets Big Sweep of Lake Sumter, 3-2 and 3-2
Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints had a flair for the dramatic on Thursday afternoon, defeating Lake Sumter twice by a score of 3-2, both games in extra innings. Jessica Castiglione won the first game in the circle and Ki Vega played the hero, knocking in the winning run in the top of the ninth inning.

Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints had a flair for the dramatic on Thursday afternoon, defeating Lake Sumter twice by a score of 3-2, both games in extra innings.
Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints had a flair for the dramatic on Thursday afternoon, defeating Lake Sumter twice by a score of 3-2, both games in extra innings.
Jessica Castiglione won the first game in the circle and Ki Vega played the hero, knocking in the winning run in the top of the ninth inning.
In game two pitcher Maddy Peres held the Lakehawks in check and Beri Scott stepped up in the eighth inning, plating the winning run with a RBI single.
The wins improve the Saints to 15-13 overall and 3-4 in Mid-Florida Conference.
SF will be on the road for another MFC double header on Saturday, March 21 in Sanford against Seminole State College at 1:00 and 3:00 PM.
