Gainesville, FL – It wasn't easy, but the Santa Fe Saints picked up a pair of wins Friday, defeating Lincoln Land CC 3-2 and 10-9 one day before opening Mid-Florida Conference play at home against Daytona State College.  Bailee Moll had five hits on the day including three doubles and a homerun.

Game one was a pitcher's duel and went into the sixth inning tied at 1-1.  Emily Yakel broke the tie with a deep homerun to center field to make it 2-1 and LLCC tied it back up in the top of the seventh on a homerun of their own.

In the bottom of the seventh the Saints loaded the bases and Bailee Moll came to the plate and put the ball in play, scoring the winning run in walk off fashion.  Alison Sievers picked up the win in the circle.

The second game was an offensive affair, with 19 runs and 27 hits between the two teams.  SF saw a late lead evaporate in the sixth but plated two runs in the bottom of the inning to grab a 10-8 advantage.  The two runs came courtesy of a wild pitch and a RBI single by Kaitlyn Bennett.

Tihana Zupanic picked up the save in relief of Alison Sievers who earned the win.

Moll had four hits in the game, three doubles and a homerun, and Haissette Escudero and Raelye Rouw had two hits each.

The Santa Fe Saints will host Daytona State College on Saturday, March 10 at 1:00 p.m. in Mid-Florida Conference action.  Fans can watch live on the Saints Sports Network.
