Escudero and the Saints Sweep FSC-J, 6-5 and 4-3
Gainesville, FL – A walk off win in the first game of a double header against Florida State College-Jacksonville by Haissette Escudero started the day off on the right foot for Santa Fe College, who would go on to sweep a double head over the Bluewave to improve to 4-2 in conference play. The Saints held on in game two, withstanding a late run by FSC-J to pull out a 4-3 victory. SF is now 24-11-2 overall.

The Saints held on in game two, withstanding a late run by FSC-J to pull out a 4-3 victory. SF is now 24-11-2 overall.
Santa Fe trailed 2-0 early on in game number one but Bailee Moll tied things up in the third, blasting her sixth homerun of the season to make it 2-2.
The BlueWave retook the lead on a sacrifice fly in the fourth. Two innings later Moll recorded her third RBI, singling to score Raeyle Rouw. Natalia Bellinger completed the comeback and gave SF their first lead of the game with a double and the Saints added an insurance run on an error by FSC-J to make it 5-3.
The BlueWave didn't give in and scored a run in the sixth and another in the seventh to tie the score 5-5.
In the bottom of the seventh, Rouw lead off with a triple and after back to back intentional walks, Escudero drilled a single up the middle for the walk off win.
Moll finished game one 3-for-3 with a homerun, three RBI, and two runs scored. Rouw was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and Escudero was 2-for-4 with a RBI.
Kaylan Tucker went the distance in the circle, striking out five to earn the win.
In game two, SF took the lead in the second on RBI by Kelly Bennett and Shelby West for a 2-0 advantage. They doubled the lead in the third thanks to RBI hits by Bennett and Natalia Bellinger.
FSC-J got one back in the fifth and scored two in the seventh to make it a game. Allie Seivers worked herself out of a jam in the circle and got a ground out for the final out, stranding the tying run on base.
Kelly Bennett had two hits and two RBI, and Escudero finished with two hits.
The Saints will hit the road Saturday for a double header at St. John's River State College at 1:00 p.m. They will return home on March 20 for a double header with Lake Sumter State at 2:30 p.m.
