SANFORD, Fla. – The No. 10 Seminole State College Raiders swept Santa Fe College Softball on Saturday, taking the opener by a 4-1 score before holding off the Saints in Game 2, 5-3.

GAME-CHANGING PLAYS

The Raiders took a 4-0 lead with two runs in both the first and third innings.

Seminole State hit two solo home runs in the third, and the Raider's lead proved to be insurmountable for the Saints.

TEAM COMPARISON

There were only nine hits in the game, five for Seminole and four for Santa Fe.

Raider's starting pitcher Tori Beland went the distance, while the Saints' two pitchers (Sydney Fowler and Kensley Durrance tossed three innings apiece).

The game was tied 3-3 after the Saints tied it with a run in the fifth inning on an Ariana Wright sacrifice fly.

The Raiders quickly responded in the home half, however, bringing two across on two separate RBI doubles.

TEAM COMPARISON

The Raiders had eight hits to five for the Saints.

Two errors were charged to SF, while Seminole played cleanly defensively.

Seminole had four extra-base knocks. While Keeli Zingaro's home run was the only one for the Saints.
