The Santa Fe College Saints softball team will participate in the FCSAA DI Softball Championship beginning on Wednesday, May 8th. 

Saints softball earned a sixth seed and will square off against the third seed, the Indian River State College Pioneers. The Saints will travel to Clearwater, Florida at Eddie C. Moore Complex for the first round. Opening pitch on Wednesday, May 8th is set for 7PM EDT.

The Saints lost the season series to the Pioneers three games to one. The Saints hosted the Pioneers on March 24th, dropping the first game of the doubleheader 6-3 and then winning the second game 10-2. The first game consisted of three errors for Santa Fe, but the Saints turned it around in Game 2, holding the Pioneers to only two hits, while Saints OF Madi Conway recorded six RBIs. The Saints later traveled to Indian River on April 20th, losing both games of the doubleheader 2-1 and 1-0 as a result of strong pitching by both teams. The Saints recorded four hits in each game but were unable to capitalize, resulting in a combined nine runners left on base.

The Saints will look to avenge the season series against the Pioneers as both teams start post season play at the FCSAA State Tournament on Wednesday, May 8th.
