The Saints battled late in the ball game, but could not do enough early as FSW takes a 75-56 win over SF. FSW jumped out to a 20-7 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. The Saints found the basket more in the second quarter, but FSW's offense stayed strong outsourcing SF 25-14. The Bucs led 45-21 at the break and continued to extend the lead in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, Santa Fe showed their fight down 31 points outscoring FSW 22-10.
The Saints were led by Nakayla Green with 13 points. Green was one of two Saints in double figures as Micah Hannah scored ten points. Yanija Lawson pulled in a career-high 17 rebounds on the night while blocking three shots.
The Saints shot just 26% from the field and 50% from the free throw line in the loss.
SF is back in action on February 8th when Daytona State comes to Gainesville for a 5:00 PM tip-off.
