Moses Horne is this week's Santa Fe Saints UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Tuesday Teammate of the Week!
Horne his first season with Santa Fe Men's Basketball. He is a 6'3 Sophomore Guard from Denver, Colorado and played at PK Younge High School in Gainesville.
This season, Horne has been a starter in each of the team's first eight games, averaging 10.8 points along with 6.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. He is shooting above 38% from the floor and 27% from 3 with two double-doubles this season.
Horne has been a vocal leader for the Saints as a veteran, bringing his NCAA Division I playing experience from Mississippi Valley State University in 2024-25 where he averaged just under 4 points and 2.1 rebounds. His energy has been felt constantly in practice, and his leadership role has been elevated throughout the season as a mentor for the younger players.
UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine sponsors a "Teammate of the Week" selection from all five Santa Fe Saints sports teams. The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), the SF sport specific coaches, and the athletic director nominate deserving Saints for this weekly award. Teammates of the week will embody the character qualities the SAINTS (Seek, Aware, Integrity, Noble-Minded, Thankful, and Safe) emphasize and value. SF Student-Athletes who impact their team, community, classmates, and families for the better are the best candidates for this weekly award hosted by proud SF partner UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
