
A Strong Bat From Wright Helps The Saints Win Big Over Bobcats 16-0
Clearwater, FL- On Saturday, January 27th, the Saints faced Pasco-Hernando State College after dropping their first game 3-2 against Pensacola State College at the JUCO Kickoff Classic. The Saints rebounded in classic fashion with a big win over the Bobcats 16-0.
How It Happened
- The Saints Softball team came through with their first win of the season in a shut out over the the Bobcats.
- Ryleigh Bauer started in the circle for the Saints. She pitched four innings with a total of 69 pitches. She struck out seven batters, walked one batter and gave up two hits.
- Peyton Bass stepped into the circle in the fifth and final inning in relief for the Saints, surrendering zero hits and one walk. She pitched a total of 11 pitches to close the game.
- Santa Fe stepped up big at the plate recording a total of 16 hits. Ariana Wright came up big at the plate going 3-for-4, recording three doubles, two RBIs, and three runs. Karris Rhine, Kamaya Cohen, and Alexis Daphney also had multiple hits on the day. Aliana Mercado recorded three walks.
- Juliann Smith recorded a triple and two RBIs.

The Saints Softball team will play their home opener against Florida State College at Jacksonville February 3rd. The game is scheduled for a 1PM EST start at Santa Fe College.
