Five Saints Earn CSC Academic All-District Recognition
GREENWOOD, Ind. - As recently announced, Santa Fe College Athletics had five student-athletes earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District recognition, as part of the prestigious Academic All-America program.
The following Saints to meet the Academic All-District NOMINATION CRITERIA in 2022-2023 included: Jayelyn Carter (Softball), Cali Conner (Volleyball), Cole Deptula (Men's Basketball), Abrianna Hickox (Softball), and Melanie Oglesby (Volleyball). There are several components to the qualifying criteria, and all five of these student-athletes excelled in the classroom and in competition to be nominated as a key starter or reserve for his or her respective team, with at least a 3.50 GPA and one full calendar year completed at Santa Fe College.

Carter, Conner, Deptula, Hickox, and Oglesby will now be automatically placed on the ballot for Academic All-America consideration. Once the voting has been completed, the CSC Academic All-America selections will be announced on June 21 for the men and June 22 for the women.
CSC began the distinguished Academic All-America® program in 1952, and since then, has honored more than 38,000 deserving student-athletes from numerous sports across all divisions with these elite Academic All-America® scholar-athlete honors. The program is comprised of divisional teams for NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. A separate at-large program for two-year schools and Canadian institutions was added in 2018-19.
