Men's Basketball All Citrus Conference
Kevin Pazmino selected to the stacked All Citrus Conference Second Team
Gainesville, FL
Kevin Pazmino from the Saints Men's Basketball team was selected to the All-Citrus Conference team. Pazmino was chosen by the coaches from each of the nine conference teams. The coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players and the Citrus conference this year had five teams with 20+ wins on the year and multiple national rankings. The Saints finished last in the loaded conference and will re-build next year.
Pazmino led the Saints in scoring at 10.3 points per game although the Saints did have multiple players who averaged over 9.7 points per game. Pazmino played the role of sharp shooter for the Saints as he made 76 threes on the year and shot 39% from the arc. Pazmino also contributed just over two rebounds a game and was consistently earning a steal and giving out an assist per game.
Coach Chris Mowry just completed his 21st season with the Saints and is the all time winningest coach in program history. His thoughts on Pazmino's honor were, "This is well deserved for Kevin. He worked extremely hard this year and is a big time shooter. Kevin is also a great teammate, solid defender, and a leader by example." Pazmino is still considering where he will take his talents to next year. He is another student-athlete at Santa Fe that will receive academic honors as well.
