This morning, Santa Fe College celebrated the 2023 Hall of Fame Inductees in the Fine Arts Hall. "We are excited to bring back this prestigious event that was sidelined due to the pandemic. Alumni are cherished here at Santa Fe and it was moving to share memories with the Hall of Fame inductees. Their legacy has paved the way for who we are today as an athletic department" - Chanda Stebbins.
Mike (Mouse) Holiday, who now leads the Track and Field program at the University of Florida and led the 2020 Olympics team in Tokyo, accepted the honor on behalf of the 1979 Track and Field Team. "I want to say thank you to my teammates. We came to Gainesville strangers with common goals and dreams, we would leave here as brothers who now share an unbreakable family bond. Now, as we have gotten older, we have learned to lean on each other so that we don't fall. Coach wanted us all to become better human beings, and I can tell you that I am a better man because of all of these young men up here, and I appreciate that."
"Coming to Santa Fe was by far the best decision of my life. It truly shaped me into the woman I am today. I am where I am today because I committed to be a Saint. Always and forever, go Saints." - Karla Claudio.
