Saints Defeat Seminole 3-2 with Late Inning Rally
Sanford, FL – The Santa Fe Saints rallied for the second game in a row in the late innings of a Mid-Florida Conference game, this time scoring twice in the eighth inning to slide past Seminole State College 3-2, two days after coming back for a 2-1 win over FSC-J. The win was the 30th of the season for Santa Fe who improve to 30-9 overall on the season and 17-5 in MFC play.

The win was the 30th of the season for Santa Fe who improve to 30-9 overall on the season and 17-5 in MFC play.
Tom Watson was on the hill for the Saints and pitched 6.1 innings, surrendering two runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.
The Saints got on the board first in the second inning on a Cole Parks RBI single. Seminole was scoreless until the sixth inning when they put one run across to tie the score, and then took the lead in the seventh 2-1.
In the eighth Hugo Valdes started things off with a double down the left field line and Robbie Hanlon moved pinch runner Alex Aristy to third with a groundout. Nick Horvath followed with a big at bat, hitting a sacrifice fly to score Aristy and tie the game at 2-2. Chandler Rodriguez keot the inning going with a two out triple and Jared Shouppe had the biggest hit of the day, driving a single up the middle to score Rodriguez.
Call Graham came in to pitch the ninth inning, getting the Raiders in order for his eighth save of the season. Joey Stillwell (2-0) earned the win with 1.2 innings in relief.
The Saints will host a key MFC game on Saturday, April 25 against the College of Central Florida at 11:00 AM. Fans can watch live atwww.ihigh.com/santafesaints
