SJRSC Hands Saints Two Losses, 6-0 and 8-1
Gainesville, FL – St. John’s River State College was at the top of their game on Tuesday afternoon in Palatka, taking a pair of games from Santa Fe College, 6-0 and 8-1.

Gainesville, FL – St. John's River State College was at the top of their game on Tuesday afternoon in Palatka, taking a pair of games from Santa Fe College, 6-0 and 8-1.
The Vikings broke open a scoreless game one with a four run fourth inning, and padded their lead in the sixth with two more runs. Jessica Castiglione started in the circle for SF (19-22, 7-11 MFC) and took the loss.
Game two was a tight contest until the fifth when St. John's again used a big inning to pull away for the win. With the score tied 1-1 the Vikings put up a run in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead, and then exploded for five in the fifth to put the game away. Chelsea Malcolm was the pitcher of record for SF and took the loss.
The Saints will try and right the ship when Seminole State College comes to Gainesville on Thursday, April 9 for a double header at 2:30 PM. Both games will be live on www.ihigh.com/santafesaints
