Beasley and Peterson Tabbed Pitcher and Player of the Week
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Cris'Deona Beasley and Neely Peterson of Santa Fe softball have been recognized as the FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively.

CRIS'DEONA BEASLEY
Beasley, a sophomore from Live Oak, Fla. and Columbia High School, earned three wins in the circle for the Saints on the week.
in 20 innings of work, the hurler posted an earned run average of just 0.70 while striking out 23 batters.
Beasley matched a career-high with ten strikeouts in a win over Daytona State College, allowed just four hits and three walks in a win at Lake-Sumter State College, and perhaps saved her best outing for last at home against No. 3 College of Central Florida.
In a 2-1 win over the Patriots, Beasley tossed her seventh complete game of the season and was in complete control, holding Central Florida to just seven hits, one earned run, and one walk while striking out five.
On the season so far, Beasley holds a 9-3 record from the circle and boasts an ERA of just 2.23, which is even better in conference play (1.35).
NEELY PETERSON
Peterson collected 10 hits in her 22 at-bats on the week, hitting for a .455 average.
The sophomore catcher from Wesley Chapel, Fla. and Colorado State University transfer hit safely in six of the Saints' eight games on the week. Peterson had four multi-hit games, totaling seven runs scored, four RBI, and three home runs.
Two of the home runs came in the doubleheader with No. 3 College of Central Florida, including the game-winning two-run homer in the fourth inning of the 2-1 victory.
Peterson currently leads Santa Fe with seven home runs on the year, and has also been a reliable presence behind the plate at catcher for the Saints while catching seven runners stealing.
