LONGWOOD, Fla. – Santa Fe College Softball (15-9) continued to play tightly contested games on Day 2 of the Courtney Miller Invitational and came away with a 4-2 win over Miami Dade before dropping the day's final outing by a 6-5 score to No. 11 Pensacola State.

A GAME-CHANGING PLAY
The Saints scored two runs in the fourth inning to break a 2-2 tie. Sydney Fowler reached on a line drive to the left fielder that was ruled an error for the Sharks, and both Riley Schnyder and Story Giebeig came across to score.

A GAME-CHANGING PLAY
Pensacola State took a 3-2 lead with a three-run home run in the top of the third inning, and the Pirates eventually established a 6-2 lead.
The Saints scored three runs in their final at-bats, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Giebeig that brought the score to 6-5. With the tying run at second base and the winning run at the plate, however, the Pirates got the final out with a swinging strikeout to hold on to the win.
