Saints Win Over Chipola
Sanford, FL- The Saints played their second matchup of the day at the Courney Miller Invitational against Chipola College. It was a hard-fought game classic softball with strong defense and breakthrough hitting. The Saints were able to their first win of the day after losing 5-7 against Gulf Coast State. The final score of this contest was 4-3 (Saints).
How It Happened
The Saints struck first scoring two runs in the 1st inning. On a single by Karris Rhine Alexis Daphney scored making the score 2-0 (Saints).
Chipola scored twice in the 3rd inning (2-2). In the top of the 4th inning H Bibbs singled on a ground ball to the right fielder Madi Conway. Paula Ocrospoma scored a run putting Chipola ahead (3-2).
It wasn't until the 6th inning that the Saints would score another run. Kamaya Cohen hit a RBI double to left field and scoring Aliana Mercado and Sydney Fowler.
Mallory Forrester came in to relieve Ryleigh Bauer to close the game out successfully. Saints win over Chipola 4-3.
