Seven Baseball Players Sign with NCAA Schools
Gainesville, FL – The NCAA Early Signing period arrived this past week and Santa Fe College Baseball was well represented. Baseball had one of their biggest early signings ever with seven student-athletes signing early with four year schools. All seven played a big part in last year’s success that saw the team set a school record with 42 wins, a Mid-Florida Conference Championship, a State/Region 8 Championship, and a JUCO World Series appearance.

Baseball had one of their biggest early signings ever with seven student-athletes signing early with four year schools. All seven played a big part in last year's success that saw the team set a school record with 42 wins, a Mid-Florida Conference Championship, a State/Region 8 Championship, and a JUCO World Series appearance.
The seven players to sign this week are: Troy Bacon – Mississippi State University; Robert Girgis – Flagler College; Brandon Hernandez – University of Central Florida; Chris Hopkins – University of Virginia; Kyle Morton – Flagler College; Kyle Phillips – University of South Florida; and Stephen Smith – University of Tampa.
These seven players and the rest of the 2017 Saints Baseball Team will open their spring season on the road at Hillsborough CC on Friday January 27th and open up at home Saturday January 28th with a doubleheader vs. South Georgia College starting at noon.
