
Becker Commits to Continue Career at UNF
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Left-handed pitcher Trent Becker of Santa Fe College Baseball has made a commitment to attend the University of North Florida to play for the Ospreys.
Becker, a native of Trenton, Fla. who attended Trenton High School, just completed his second season with the Saints and was named to the All Mid-Florida Conference First Team.
In 2022, the starter appeared in 14 games to post a 7-4 overall record. He led the Saints' staff with an ERA of just 2.22, the fifth lowest mark in the FCSAA.
In his 73 innings of work, Becker struck out 63 batters and tossed two complete games. He set down a career-high eight batters on two separate occasions, and was honored as the FCSAA/NJCAA Region VIII Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 15 | Story
UNF Baseball is coached by Tim Parenton, and the team currently holds an 18-26 mark overall and 8-13 record in the respected ASUN Conference.
Becker is now the fourth baseball commitment to be announced on santafesaints.com, with the list available below. He was also one of eight SF student-athletes to be recognized on Apr. 12 with a "Celebrating Commitments" event at the SF Gymnasium.
