2023 Baseball Season Opens with 6-3 Win over TNXL
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 2023 Santa Fe Baseball season got underway on Friday afternoon, and the Saints were able to pick up a 6-3 win over visiting TNXL Academy.
SF scored the first six runs of the contest, and the pitching staff gave up just three hits in the victory over the Ducks.
A GAME-CHANGING PLAY
Zeth Rodriguez had a two-out, two RBI single in the third frame to put SF ahead 3-0, creating some cushion that lasted throughout the season opener.
TEAM COMPARISON
SF had 11 hits to just three for TNXL, and the Duck's pitching issued four walks to just two issued by the Saints' staff.
