
Baseball Beats Lake-Sumter for Second Time, 5-3
LEESBURG, Fla. – Santa Fe College Baseball kept the momentum rolling with a 5-3 victory at Lake-Sumter State College, improving to 6-0 so far in 2023.
A GAME-CHANGING PLAY
The Saints took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning on a homer from Jacob Guthrie, giving starter Jacob Lauderdale a lead that he was able to maintain all the way to the bullpen.
TEAM COMPARISON
SF totaled 11 hits to six for Lake-Sumter.
The Lakehawks had nearly twice as many strikeouts from the plate (15) than the Saints (8).
