GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Santa Fe Baseball swept Saturday's doubleheader with visiting South Florida State College, improving to 8-0 with two quality pitching and defensive performances.
With the sweep, the Saints have now won the first three of five matchups with the Panthers this season.

A GAME-CHANGING PLAY
The Saints brought the game-winning run in to score in the bottom of the sixth inning, when Jahlani Rogers scored Grant Gilooly with a two-out, infield single.
TEAM COMPARISON
SF totaled nine hits to five for South Florida State College.
The Saints struck out just four times at the plate, compared to nine K's for the Panthers.
Each side had just one error in the first of two seven-inning tilts.

What proved to be the winning runs were scored in the bottom of the third inning on a two-run home run from Josh Hogue, his second to clear the wall this season.

Jalen Hudson (W, 1-0) was excellent in his second career start with the Saints. He allowed just four hits, one earned run, and one walk while striking out a career-high nine batters faced.
He gave way to O'Dell for the final out once again, picking up his third save of the season by stranding runner on second and third base.
