Baseball Dismantles St. Petersburg to Improve to 14-0
CLEARWATER, Fla. – It didn't take long for Santa Fe College Baseball to find a zone at St. Petersburg, as the Saints offense set the tone early against the winless Titans (0-9) in a 17-0 rout.
A GAME-CHANGING PLAY
Hunter Keen led off the contest with a double, and it proved to be the start of an eight-run frame…12 different batters took their swings in the first inning for the Saints, there were six hits, and three batters took a walk to first base.
TEAM COMPARISON
SF had 13 hits, while the Titans conjured up only two against the Saints' pitching.
St. Petersburg pitching issued 12 walks, while SF allowed one free pass.
The Titans were loose defensively and committed three errors. SF had just one.
