Baseball Suffers First Loss of Season, 10-4 to Hillsborough
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – For the first time all season, a game didn't go the way of Santa Fe College Baseball, as the Saints (14-1) fell to Hillsborough by a 10-4 score.
A GAME-CHANGING PLAY
The Hawks took a lead they would never relinquish in the seventh inning, scoring two runs to go ahead 5-3.
Four more runs in the eighth frame for Hillsborough created some separation, and the Saints' offense couldn't conjure up the improbable comeback to remain unbeaten.
TEAM COMPARISON
Hillsborough had 15 hits to 14 for Santa Fe.
Each of the two home runs on the day were hit by the Hawks.
The game was free of any defensive errors.
