GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A five-run second inning and 7.2 quality innings from starter Tobin Moran helped lead No. 6 Santa Fe College Baseball (27-1, 3-1 MFC) to a 6-3 win over Daytona State College (13-11, 0-4 MFC) in the first game of the three-game series with the Falcons.

A GAME-CHANGING PLAY…

The bottom of the second inning staked Moran to the early advantage, as the Saints jumped ahead 5-0.

Two Daytona State errors and three consecutive SF walks helped the Saints put up the crooked number…

TEAM COMPARISON

SF had seven hits, while Daytona State finished with just five.

The Saints' bullpen was perfect over the final four outs…

Both the Daytona State errors came in the big inning for the Saints, while SF committed just one miscue defensively. 

The only extra-base hit for either side was a double from Zeth Rodriguez.
