No. 5 Baseball Wins Extra-Inning Classic over No. 1 Central Florida, 6-5
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Spectators were treated to an extra-inning classic matchup between No. 5 Santa Fe College baseball and No. 1 College of Central Florida on Friday afternoon, and the Saints overcame the Patriots in walk-off fashion in 10 innings on the SF Baseball Field.
A GAME-CHANGING PLAY…
Jahlani Rogers got the job done in the tenth inning. After Josh Hogue was hit by a pitch, the Saints put on a hit-and-run with Rogers to the plate, and the centerfielder drove one deep to the outfield for his second triple of the game to send SF to the series win…

The Saints toppled CF by a 4-0 score on Wednesday with a dominant pitching performance from Tobin Moran.
In addition to Rogers' heroics, Chase Chappell was excellent over the course of the final three innings from the mound. He entered in the eighth with the Patriots on a roll with the bats. With the score tied at 4-4, CF had runners on first and second with no outs, but Chappell earned two pop outs (the first a failed bunt attempt), then made leadoff hitter John Marant swing and miss for the third out.
The Patriots didn't muster that much offense in the ninth and tenth frames, setting the stage for the Saints' heart of the order to win it. Both Jahlani Rogers and Chase Chappell shared postgame thoughts below...
