
Baseball's Braun Going to Ole Miss
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Corey Braun, a left-handed pitcher for Santa Fe College baseball, will be attending Ole Miss in Oxford, Miss.
Braun is from Seminole, Florida and prior to SF, he attended Osceola High School and Charleston Southern.
2023 was his first season with the Saints, and his contributions were key to SF's historic start season. In 13 appearances and 12 starts, the left-handed pitcher posted a record of 7-1 with one complete game. In his 64.1 innings pitched, he struck out a team-high 76 batters. The Mid-Florida Conference First Team selection was solid in his postseason outing against the State College of Florida on May 6, picking up a win with a line of 6.0 innings pitched, five hits, three walks, three earned runs, and six strikeouts in the Saints' 5-4 victory.
Ole Miss Baseball is coached by Mike Bianco, who has been at the helm of the Rebels' program since 2000. Bianco led Ole Miss to the team's first National Championship in 2022. The program competes in the NCAA Division I and the Southeastern Conference.
