
Univ. of West Georgia Inks Baseball's Jalen Hudson
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore pitcher Jalen Hudson of Santa Fe College Baseball is happy to announce his commitment to return to his home state to continue his academic and athletic pursuits at the University of West Georgia
Hudson is from Valdosta, Georgia and prior to SF, he attended Lowndes High School. At Santa Fe, he studied Criminal Justice.
2023 was his second season with the Saints, after making 15 pitching appearances as a true freshman. In 2023, Jalen made ten appearances and five starts, holding a 5-0 record on the bump. In 35 innings pitched, Hudson owned a 3.86 ERA and struck out 34 batters faced. He was the winning pitcher in the Saints' 12-1 win at No. 1 College of Central Florida on Apr. 24.
University of West Georgia Baseball is coached by Jeff Smith, who has been at the helm of the Wolves' program since April of 2019. The program competes in the NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference.
