Zeth Rodriguez Commits to the Nova Southeastern Sharks
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Zeth Rodriguez of Santa Fe College Baseball, an All Mid-Florida Conference Second Team honoree, became the tenth Saint to commit to a four-year program, and will be headed to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to continue his academic and athletic pursuits at Nova Southeastern University.
Rodriguez is from Spring Hill, Fla. and prior to SF, he attended Nature Coast Technical High School.
2023 was his second season of play with the Saints, after appearing in 25 games as a freshman in 2022.
Rodriguez was the everyday third baseman for the Saints, and made his way on to the MFC All-Defensive Team with 27 putouts, 74 assists, a .935 fielding percentage from the hot corner, and eight double plays turned. With the bat, he had 40 hits, 33 runs scored, and 40 RBI. Rodriguez flashed plenty of pop with 13 doubles and six home runs as well to be named to the Mid-Florida Conference Second Team.

Gutierrez came to the Sharks after 13 years with the Boston Red Sox, where he primarily served the Big League club in Boston as the Mental Skills Coordinator, designing and applying leadership and mental skills routines that helped lead the Red Sox to two World Series Championships (2013, 2018) during his tenure.
The Sharks are coming off a record of 26-23 this past season, and compete in the Sunshine State Conference of the NCAA Division II.
