
Two Saints Selected to Valley League Baseball All-Star Game
FRONT ROYAL, Va. - Current Santa Fe College baseball player Josh Hogue along with Garfield Johns, a pitcher for the Saints in 2021 and 2022, have been selected to represent their respective teams in the Valley League Baseball (VBL) All-Star Game.

Hogue, a First Team All FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 selection in 2023 for the Saints, is swinging the wooden bat well this summer for the Winchester Royals. Hogue will play for the North All-Stars, and currently ranks No. 8 in the league in batting average (.371), is tied for second with three home runs, and comes in at No. 3 in RBI with 14.
Johns pitched for the University of South Alabama Jaguars in 2023, and will be on the South All-Star team for his play with the Harrisonburg Turks.

The historic Valley League currently consists of 12 teams, and its name is derived from the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, which is nestled between the Blue Ridge Mountains to the East and the Alleghany Mountains to the West.
