On Saturday, the Saints faced off against St. Petersburg College in Auburndale, FL for the latter half of a double header. Santa Fe won the contest by a score of 8-4, while only playing 7 innings. The Saints are now 3-0.
How It Happened
Matthew Jenkins started on the mound for the Saints. He pitched three innings without allowing a run and tallied five strikeouts. The Saints went to the bullpen for the remainder of the game,using four pitchers and holding St. Petersburg to only four runs.
Offensively, the Saints earned five hits and five walks accumulating eight runs. Griffin Sorrow led the way with two hits, and RBI, and two runs.
