
Gallagher goes to East Tennessee State
Saints infielder Grant Gallagher signs with East Tennessee State University

Sophomore Grant Gallagher has decided to continue his collegiate career at East Tennessee State University.
Gallagher is originally from Tallahassee, Fl, where he attended Chiles High School. After high school, he signed with Santa Fe where he played for two years.
In his career at Santa Fe, Gallagher played in 98 games with 302 at bats. In his sophomore season, he batted an average of .301 with 46 hits and 31 RBIs.
East Tennessee State Univeristy is a Division I baseball program that competes in the Southern Conference (SoCon). They are coached by Joe Pennucci, who has been the head coach for East Tennessee State since July 2017. Before that, he was the former Stony Brook assistant coach. 2024 was East Tennessee State's best season under Pennucci with a new program record of 314 walks drawn and an on base percentage of .420. They also had an impressive run in the 2024 SoCon tournament where the Bucaneers marked their first win against a top-ranked team in thier conference tournament.
