Santa Fe Saints Baseball and Head Coach Johnny Wiggs are excited to announce incoming signees for the 2024-2025 season.
Conner Brown was a state runner-up with Buchholz High School in the 2024 6A playoffs. In 33 games for the Bobcats, Brown hit .253 with a .343 OBP, 23 hits, 15 runs, 14 RBIs, eight walks, and six stolen bases.
Stephen Joyce was a Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald First Team All-County for Archbishop McCarthy High School. As a pitcher for the Mavericks, Joyce went 3-3 with a 1.47 ERA, 82 strikeouts, .164 opponent batting average, and a save. In 53 games as a batter, Joyce hit .328 with a .473 OBP, 42 hits, 25 walks, 23 RBIs, 22 runs, and six stolen bases.
James Leach was a 2023 state runner-up, 2023 and 2024 defensive player of the year, 2024 district champion, 2024 Second Team All-Western Conference, and made the 2024 Hillsborough County All-Star Team for Plant High School. In 24 games for the Panthers, Leach hit .354 with a .400 OBP, 23 hits, seven RBIs, and five walks.
Robert Nedry was the 2A Player of the Year for Wesminster Academy. In 86 games for the Lions, Nedry hit .354 with a .444 OBP, 91 hits, 71 runs, 56 RBIs, 41 walks, 37 stolen bases, and three home runs. Nedry recorded a walk last year for NC State against Queens.
Vic Patel was part of a nationally ranked team with St. Johns Country Day High School and went to the high school invitational in Cary, NC in 2022. In 26 games for the Spartans his junior year, Patel hit .364 with a .567 OBP, 17 runs, 16 hits, 15 walks, 11 RBIs, three home runs, and two stolen bases.
Rex Smith was a team captain and 2023 Sarasota/Bradenton All-Herald Tribune Team. In 31 games for the Sailors, Smith hit .423 with a .551 OBP, 30 hits, 21 walks, 19 runs, 14 RBIs, and three stolen bases.
