Santa Fe fell behind 9-0 in the third inning, as TSC didn't look back knocking SF off 13-5. Tallahassee State College put up eleven runs in the first four innings, and two more in the ninth to seal a big win over the Saints. SF scored two runs in the fourth, with a Griffin Sorrow homerun. A solo run in the fourth and sixth inning gave the Saints hope, before the two-run ninth from TSC.
The Saints went with Macklin Miller on the mound as he received his first loss on the season. Miller went 1.2 innings allowing four hits, and seven runs (six earned runs). The Saints went to Chase Chappell late in the game as he went 4.0 innings allowing three hits, and two runs. Chappel struck out four and walked two.
At the dish, Sorrow went 3-4 with four RBI and one run scored. Sorrow left the yard in the third inning to give the Saints some hope early. Zack Dejesus went 2-4, scoring two runs as the only other Saint with a multi-hit game.
The Saints have to bounce back quickly as they travel to South Florida State College on Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at noon.
