Florida SouthWestern took a lead and held the Saints scoreless for a 9-0 win. FSW jumped out early to a 6-0 lead after one inning. A two-run fourth and a solo run in the sixth inning helped FSW knock off the Saints in game one. Santa Fe totaled just three hits on the afternoon. Robert Nedry, Ryan Chase, and Erik Blair all had one hit. Zack Dejesus worked his way on base two times via a walk.
Chase Chappell got the start for SF going 0.1 innings allowing three hits, and six runs. Chappell walked two batters. Dylan Lovelace and Mitchell Marlowe also made appearances in the game. The two totaled five strikeouts in 5.2 innings.
The Saints host FSW on Saturday at noon for a doubleheader.
