Santa Fe pitcher Nick Davison has signed with the Columbus State Cougars

Sophomore Nick Davidson has decided to continue his collegiate baseball career at Columbus State University.
Davidson is originally from Winter Springs, FL where he played on the varsity team for Winter Springs High School. After high school he signed with Santa Fe, later playing both his freshman and sophomore seasons as a Saint.
In his sophomore season, Davidson made 21 appearances on the mound, typically in relief. He pitched a total of 49.2 innings with an opponent batting average of .266 and a WHIP of 1.75. Throughout the 2024 season he tallied 42 strikeouts, earning one win and one save.
Columbus State University is located in Columbus, Georgia and are a member of the Peach Belt Conference in the second division of the NCAA. The Cougars have been led by head coach Greg Appleton for the last 27 years. With Appleton at the helm, CSU won the 2002 National Championship, finished as the national runner-up in 2007 and 2008, and earned 13 NCAA postseason appearances. Appleton has coached 100 All-Conference players, 20 All-Americans, as well as 28 players that have signed contracts to play professional baseball.
