BALANCED ATTACK LEADS SAINTS PAST VICTORY ROCK, 83-76
Gainesville, FL – Five players scored in double figures for the Santa Fe Saints (2-0) on Saturday afternoon, leading them to a win over Victory Rock Academy, 83-76 for the second win of the season.
Morris Marshall again paced Santa Fe, scoring 19 points to go with nine rebounds in the winning effort. Michael Sanchez scored in double figures for the second day in a row, finishing with 12.
The game was back and forth for a majority of the contest as Victory Rock's Dominique Mathews and AJ Farrar kept them in it, combining for 48 points. The Saints pulled away down the stretch on the strength of their three point shooting for the seven point victory.
The Saints hit nine threes and assisted on 21 of 30 made baskets.
Joining Sanchez and Marshall in double figures were Allen Baez 12, Andre Horne 12, and Brandon Williams finished with a double double, scoring 10 to go with 13 rebounds, seven of them offensive.
The Saints will now take to the road to battle Palm Beach State College on November 7 in Lake Worth at 7:00 PM.
