Sanchez Scores 18 to Lead Santa Fe Past FSC-J, 79-51
Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe was back to their winning ways on Wednesday evening, defeating Florida State College-Jacksonville in front of many SF faculty and staff on Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night.

Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe was back to their winning ways on Wednesday evening, defeating Florida State College-Jacksonville in front of many SF faculty and staff on Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night.
The Saints (15-10, 2-3MFC) shot a blistering 61.5% from the field for the game, making 20-of-27 shots in the second half alone.
Despite the gaudy shooting numbers, the Saints didn't get off to a hot start and had just five points though the first six minutes of the game. From there however, they flipped a switch and led 32-22 at the halftime break.
In the second half the Saints put the pedal to the floor and pushed the lead to as many as 30 before closing out the 79-51 victory
"We shot the ball really well tonight," said SF Coach Chris Mowry. "A lot of them were in the paint, but it's a testament to our shot selection and ball movement."
SF assisted on 19 of 32 made baskets with Michael Sanchez leading the way with seven.
Sanchez also ledthe team in scoring with 18 points, Jaquel Taft and Ty Birts had 15 points and nine rebounds each, and Allen Baez scored 12.
