Eastern Florida Edges Past Saints, 74-68
A second half attack of three-pointers by the Eastern Florida State College Titans proved too much for the Saints during a tough road loss on February 6, resulting in a 74-68 Titan win.
The Saints controlled the first half, 35-24. They maintained the lead until just a few minutes left in regulation. Multiple threes brought the Titans within striking distance and some free throws down the stretch put them on top to grab the win.
"We played really well the first half, and Eastern Florida played great in the second half," said Saints Head Coach Chris Mowry. "EF is a very good team, so I give them credit for finding a way to win. Our guys played well but couldn't get any stops down the stretch."
Leading scorers for the Saints were Brady Fernandes and John Mason with 14 points each, followed by Miles Coleman and Ivan Smith with 13 apiece.
The Saints (14-12, 2-6 MFC) will prepare before traveling to FSC - Jacksonville on Saturday, February 9 for a 4:00 p.m. tip-off.
