Saints Secure Home Win Against Webber
Saints men's basketball cruised to a 106-45 victory as they hosted Webber International University Warriors' junior varsity team on Wednesday, November 13.
The game saw the Saints overpower the Warriors throughout the entire game in the lopsided triumph.
As the margin ballooned to 26 at the end of the first half (49-23), the Warriors had trouble getting their offense going against the Saints in the second and the Saints went on a 29-3 run immediately after halftime.
The gap continued to widen until the end of regulation.
The Saints bench contributed 43 points on the night.
Luka Filipovic lead the Saints with 20 points alongside 16 rebounds. 14 of his 20 points came in the second quarter. Nikola Jerotic also had a good night with 19 points and six rebounds of his own, while three other players had 10 points each – Josiah Tynes, Noah Thorp and Tre Howard.
The Saints (4-1, 0-0 MFC) face State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota on Saturday, November 16th at home, 2 p.m.
