Saints Fall To The Falcons
Daytona jumped out to an early 36-16 point lead over the Saints after hitting a series of triples (by halfway mark of the first half).
Jonathan Renois scored 11 points in the first half. Kevin Pazmino hit two triples and added 10 points in the first half.
Daytona raced out to a 63-31 halftime lead aided by fifteen Santa Fe turnovers, ten made three pointers and eleven offensive rebounds.
Santa Fe played a much better second half, out scoring Daytona 55-43. Ashton Lovette scored and one basket and completed the three point play to cut into the Falcons lead. He later later rebounded a missed shot by the Falcons and assisted Pedrag Panisic on transition layup.
Standout players for the Saints were Harvey Wilson who had a game high of 17 points and Karmello Branch (16 points). They both lead the Saints offense in the second half. Breylin Garcia (16 points) and Josue Grullon (15 points) led the way for the Falcons.
The Falcons led by a comfortable margin the for the majority of the first and second periods. They scored a total of triples and shot over forty percent from behind the arc. The Saints shot seventeen three pointers and made seven. The Saints struggled to get within striking distance of the lead.
The final score was 106-86 (Falcons).
