
Saints Win Eighth in a Row
Florida State College at Jacksonville made a trip to Gainesville on Thursday afternoon for a nonconference doubleheader.

The Saints used two good innings offensively to knock off Florida State College at Jacksonville 6-1. FSCJ started the scoring in the top of the second inning with their only run of the game. In the third and fourth innings, the Saints put up a combined five runs. In the sixth inning, SF added an insurance run.
Belle Mancillas went the distance for the Saints allowing just two hits and one run. Mancillas struck three batters out and walked two in her complete game. Karris Rhine continues to shine for SF in the batter order. Rhine went 3-4, scoring three runs and driving one home. Rhine was a double shy of the cycle in her four plate appearances. Mancillas had a solid day at the dish going 1-2 with a walk.
The Saints and FSCJ were suspended in game two of the doubleheader due to weather conditions. This game will not be completed.
Santa Fe is back at home at 1:00 PM, Saturday when Tallahassee State College comes to Gainesville.
