Deja McPhee Scores 17 in Saints Win Over IMG, 85-65
Gainesville, FL – Deja McPhee made her Gainesville homecoming count on Friday night in the Saints home opener, scoring 17 points to lead Santa Fe past IMG Academy on “Dunkoween” McPhee, a transfer from Jacksonville University, and former standout at Gainesville High School made 8-of-11 shots, and also pitched in four rebounds.

Gainesville, FL – Deja McPhee made her Gainesville homecoming count on Friday night in the Saints home opener, scoring 17 points to lead Santa Fe past IMG Academy on "Dunkoween" McPhee, a transfer from Jacksonville University, and former standout at Gainesville High School made 8-of-11 shots, and also pitched in four rebounds.
Santa Fe (1-0) jumped out to an early 11-0 lead and pushed it to a 21 point advantage at the break. They led by as many as 40 in the second half before a late run by IMG made it an 85-65 final.
Sophomore Tatiana Manuel finished in double figures with 10 points, and four Santa Fe players scored nine each (Brianca Roberts, Kayla Lovett, Sonya Franklin, and Khadijah Howell).
The Saints shot just under 50% from the field as a team and held IMG to 38.5% shooting. SF forced 23 turnovers and had 12 steals.
