Broward Hangs on to Defeat Saints, 65-60
Miami, FL – Broward College did what they needed to on the defensive end Sunday afternoon against Santa Fe, holding the Saints to their second lowest point total of the season in a 65-60 victory. SF falls to 5-4 on the year and Broward is now 1-6 after picking up their first victory of the season.

Miami, FL – Broward College did what they needed to on the defensive end Sunday afternoon against Santa Fe, holding the Saints to their second lowest point total of the season in a 65-60 victory. SF falls to 5-4 on the year and Broward is now 1-6 after picking up their first victory of the season.
Neither team lit the scoreboard up in the first half as Broward took a 29-24 lead into the locker room after forcing 15 first half Saints' turnovers.
Santa Fe improved their play in the second half, but couldn't quite close the gap, falling by five to the Seahawks.
The Saints struggled from the free throw line, making just 15-of-33 attempts. Deja McPhee made 12 of SF's 15 free throws and finished with a team high 22 points. Ahsley Perry also finished in double figures with 10 points and eight rebounds, and Kayla Lovett had nine points and five steals.
Santa Fe will take a few days off before returning to the floor on Saturday, November 29 against Darton State College at the South Georgia Tech Classic in Americus, GA. Tip is scheduled for 2:00 PM. On Sunday, November 30 they will face off with South Georgia Tech at 4:00 PM.
The next home game for the Saints is December 4 against Pensacola State College at 7:00 PM. The Webber game scheduled for November 26 has been cancelled and will not be made up.
