Gainesville, FL – The College of Central Florida were clicking on all cylinders Saturday afternoon in Ocala as they defeated the Santa Fe Saints in a crucial Mid-Florida Conference game, 66-51.
The Saints (14-11, 4-2 MFC) struggled to get anything going offensively, and an 18 point halftime deficit was made worse by a six point third quarter, putting SF in too deep a hole to dig themselves out of. A strong 21 point fourth quarter just wasn't enough to get all the way back in the game.
Janasia Law lead Santa Fe with 11 points and Brianna Richardson had 10.
The SF defense did a good job holding the Patriots to just 34% shooting from the field, but the Saints struggled from behind the arc, making just 1-of-15 three pointers.
Santa Fe will have a few days off from games to regroup, and will take the floor again on Saturday, February 10 at home against Florida State College-Jacksonville at 2:00 p.m.
