Daytona, FL – A slow start on Wednesday evening in Daytona was too much for the Santa Fe Saints to recover from, as they fell to the Falcons of Daytona State 58-48 in a Mid-Florida Conference game. SF (15-12, 5-3 MFC) scored just six points in the first quarter and although they were much more consistent over the final three quarter, never gained the upper hand.

Daytona lead by just five at the half, but outscored Santa Fe 23-16 in the third quarter to take a double digit lead into the final 10 minutes. The Saints clamped down defensively and held the Falcons to eight points, but couldn't get their offense going enough to mount a comeback.
Stephanie Jackson lead SF with 13 points and Dallas Kennedy had 11 off the bench.
The Saints have one game remaining in the regular season before the Mid-Florida Conference Tournament. SF will wrap up the regular season on February 21 at 6:00 p.m. against the College of Central Florida on Faculty Appreciation Night at the Santa Fe Gym. All faculty are invited to join the department as they honor the 2018 retirees at halftime of the women's game.
