Saints Rout Central Florida, 90-50
Gainesville, FL – With home court advantage in the Mid-Florida Conference tournament on the line, the Santa Fe Saints (16-12, 6-3 MFC) played some of their best basketball of the season, cruising past the College of Central Florida by 40 points, 90-50. The win clinches second place in the MFC. SF will now host the winner of the CF and Florida State College-Jacksonville on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m. with a trip to the FCSAA State Tournament at stake.

Things weren't looking as promising early on when the Patriots took a nine point lead, 19-10 with a minute to go in the first quarter.
In the second quarter however, the Saints looked like a different team, outscoring CF 24-5 to take a commanding 37-24 lead into the locker room.
Santa Fe continued the offensive and defensive onslaught in the second half, outscoring the Patriots 53-26 over the final 20 minutes.
The Saints shot a robust 52% from the field and held Central Florida to 26% shooting. Sf outrebounded the Patriots 48-25
Stephanie Jackson led a balanced SF scoring effort, contributing 22 points. Ivana Boyd had 13 points and 13 rebounds, Brianna had 11 points and six rebounds, and seven other Saints scored at least three points each.
With the regular season over, SF will now await their opponent for the MFC Tournament final game on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the SF Gym
