Saints Roll Over FSCJ, 85-62
The Santa Fe Saints outscored the Blue Wave by 15 points in the second quarter on their way to a convincing 85-62 win in Jacksonville Saturday afternoon.
Rosalee Nicholson scored 12 of her 19 points in the second period allowing SF head coach Chanda Stebbins to empty her bench in the second half.
"I's nice to get everybody some time on the floor and that was the case today," said Stebbins. "Rosi did a great job early of making shots and getting us going."
Aleisha Curry led the Saints with 20 points while Nicholson scored 19 and Zoe Alexander chipped in with 17.
"I'm proud of our effort, I would just like to see us sustain it for more of the game," said Stebbins. "Now we will get to work preparing for CF."
SF (11-10, 2-1 Mid-Florida Conference) will travel to Ocala to take on the Patriots of the College of Central Florida on Wednesday with the tip scheduled for 5:30 pm.
