Rust College Signs Bowers of Women's Basketball
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Taniah Bowers of Santa Fe College Women's Basketball has signed to continue her collegiate basketball career with Rust College.
Rust College women's basketball is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC). The college is located in Holly Springs, Miss.
In 2021-2022, Head Coach Eric Jackson Jr. helped lead the Bearcats to a record of 26-4 overall and 7-1 in conference play, becoming GCAC Tournament Champions for the first time in school history. The Bearcats punched their ticket to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round and won one game, 76-74 over Cumberlands, prior to falling by a 66-62 score to Southeastern. Former Saint Zoe Alexander, a teammate of Bowers, also plays for the Bearcats.
Bowers is now the third women's basketball commitment to be announced on santafesaints.com.
