No. 19 Indian River Bests Women's Basketball, 86-48
FORT PIERCE, Fla. – On the second half of a back-to-back, Santa Fe women's basketball had a tough test at No. 19 Indian River State College, and the Pioneers were able to run away with an 86-48 win in the first of two scheduled matchups between the team this season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints got off to a slow start and fell into an early 13-0 hole on the road.
SF started to find some rhythm offensively to score the next seven points, and were still within striking distance at the half, trailing 39-27.
Indian River, however, pulled away in the second half and held SF to just four points in the final frame.

Full statistics will be made available as soon as possible. Malea Brown had 17 points, Joey Delancy had 15, and Selah Reddick had nine for the Saints on the offensive end.

The Saints (7-6) will take a little break for the holidays and start prepping for the Best Western Gateway Grand Classic on Dec. 29 & Dec. 30 inside the SF Gymnasium. The Saints will play No. 7 Northwest Florida on Dec. 29, then follow it up on the 30th with a rematch with Indian River.
